Lip Filler

Lip filler—but make it intentional. We're not doing overfilled, we're doing balanced, hydrated, and just enough to make people wonder why you look so good.

What Is Lip Filler

Lip filler is a customizable treatment designed to enhance your lips—whether that's adding volume, improving shape, defining the border, or simply restoring hydration that's been lost over time. At Maintenance Bar, it's not about making lips bigger—it's about making them better and in balance with your face.

Different fillers are used depending on your goals. Softer, more flexible fillers are ideal for subtle hydration, smoothing fine lines, and creating that "your lips but better" look. More structured fillers are used when you want added volume, definition, or to build shape and support. Some patients want a natural, hydrated finish, while others are looking for more noticeable fullness—we choose the product and technique based on what will get you there without looking overdone.

How Lip Filler Works at Maintenance Bar

01

Step 1 — Lip Analysis

Your Maintenance Bar injector will ask about your lip goals, assess your lips, and take some before photos.

02

Step 2 — Goal Mapping

We discuss whether you want volume, shape, definition, or all three. Maintenance Bar distinguishes between these goals because each requires different injection techniques and product placement.

03

Step 3 Numbing & Injection

A topical numbing agent is applied to ensure comfort, followed by careful, strategic filler placement to achieve your desired result.

04

Aftercare

Your lips will be swollen—it's part of the process. Give them a few days, skip the gym and alcohol for a bit, and let them settle. Trust us—they'll calm down.

Know Before You Go

What to Expect from Lip Filler at Maintenance Bar

We always tell people if the swelling freaks you out, then they will settle perfectly. If you like the swelling, then you'll likely want to add more at some point.

Your lip filler timeline:

Immediately After: You'll see volume right away—but also swelling. Lips may look bigger than expected at first.

Day 1–3: Peak swelling. Lips can feel tight, uneven, or a little lumpy—this is normal. You may have bruising.

Day 3–5: Swelling starts to go down. Shape begins to even out and look more natural.

Day 5–7: Majority of swelling resolved. Lips are softer, smoother, and more settled.

2 Weeks: Fully healed. This is your true result—balanced, hydrated, and exactly how they're meant to look.

We'll follow up with you around 2-3 weeks after your treatment to make sure that your lip filler looks perfect! If you want to add more volume, we recommend waiting 2-3 months between sessions.

Who Benefits from Lip Filler at Maintenance Bar

These are common statements we hear from our patients who want lip filler:

• "I've lost volume and my lips just look flat or deflated" • "My lips look thin or disappear when I smile" • "My lips are uneven or asymmetrical" • "My lips look dry no matter how much I hydrate" • "I just want my lips to look better, but still natural"

One of our favorite combination treatments is doing lip filler with Botox or a Botox Lip Flip. Smooth the lines and hydrate the lips = a perfect little refresh.

Lip filler is not always about bigger lips—it's about better lips. Think hydration, shape, symmetry, and subtle volume that actually fits your face.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much lip filler should I get?

The amount of lip filler varies based on your anatomy and desired outcome. Many patients start with 1 syringe, with additional treatments spaced out if more volume is desired.

Our Seattle injectors always err toward less — because you can always add more later.

Will lip filler look natural?

Yes—when it's done right, lip filler should look completely natural. The goal is subtle shape, hydration, and balance—not obvious volume. The best lip filler is the kind no one can clock—just better lips.

Does lip filler hurt?

Lips are sensitive—no sugarcoating that. But we numb you well, and the filler has lidocaine built in. You'll feel a few pinches, but nothing crazy.

What lip filler brands does Maintenance Bar use?

Our Seattle clinic uses Restylane, Juvederm, and RHA lip filler products! The type of filler we select depends on your lip goals.

How long does lip filler last at Maintenance Bar?

Lip filler typically lasts 6–12 months. Most patients notice their lips looking a little less full or hydrated over time. You don't always need a full syringe to refresh—we offer half syringes for subtle maintenance without adding obvious volume.
